The Prosciutto Crudo della Valle del Torto is made only with the best cuts of the thighs of our pigs, fed and raised with the best practices to always guarantee a correct state of well-being and a high degree of sustainability. It is produced in an uncontaminated territory in the wild heart of Sicily halfway between the Madonie and the Sicani Mountains, known as the Valle del Torto. Unlike the classic Italian raw ham, the Prosciutto Crudo della Valle del Torto is made by boning the leg of the pig, obtaining different cuts, which are salted and cured individually with the aromas. The production process begins by boning the thighs, which in turn are disassembled into pieces of 3-4 kg. After two saltings of 15 days each, the hams are placed in the seasoning room for 3-4 months, to develop all their taste and aroma. It is advisable to cut it just before bringing it to the table, and savor it at room temperature to be sure of enjoying its scent and, above all, its delicious flavor.
