The Pic Pac Cherry Tomato Ready Sauce is a typical Palermo recipe. The pic-pac or "picchi-pacchi" is a simple condiment made with tomato pulp, oil, garlic, onion and fresh basil. The main ingredient of this recipe is the cherry tomato, which is grown on our farm located in the heart of Sicily, between the municipalities of Alia and Valledolmo. This wonderful and fragrant condiment is used to flavor the typical summer soup of the people of Palermo "la pasta cu i tenerumi" or to prepare an excellent pasta dish exclusively with this sauce, which is ready to taste and made with love for you by "Le Bontà di Villa Dafne".
The cherry tomato, ripened in the Sicilian sun, is harvested at the end of summer, strictly by hand, and taken to the processing laboratory to be processed immediately fresh. Here it is cleaned, selected, cut and cooked with onion, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and basil. Then put in glass jars and immediately pasteurized, to ensure that it maintains all the organoleptic and nutritional properties over time as of a freshly harvested tomato.
The Pic Pac Cherry Tomato Ready Sauce is naturally gluten-free and lactose-free. It is also a product suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets. No dyes or preservatives. Once the package has been opened, store in the refrigerator at +4 °C and consume within 3-4 days of opening the package.
