The Pic Pac Ready Sauce of Siccagno Tomato is a typical Palermo recipe. The pic-pac or "picchi-pacchi" is a simple condiment made with tomato pulp, oil, garlic, onion and fresh basil. The main ingredient is the tomato which in this version is strictly "siccagno" and grown on our farm located in the heart of Sicily. Thanks to the particular nature of these soils and the microclimatic conditions of the Sicilian hinterland, it is possible to cultivate this excellent product. Once harvested, the siccagno tomato is taken to the processing laboratory to be processed immediately fresh. Here it is cleaned, selected, cut and cooked with onion, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and basil. Then put in a glass jar and immediately pasteurized, so that it can preserve over time all the organoleptic and nutritional qualities of a freshly harvested tomato.
The Pic Pac Siccagno Tomato Ready Sauce is naturally gluten-free and lactose-free. It is also a product suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets. No dyes or preservatives. Once the package has been opened, store in the refrigerator at +4 °C and consume within 3-4 days of opening the package
